My first piece of advice is to be patient and learn to forgive yourself. Your entrance into the college community coincides with a complex transition that consists of meeting new friends, enduring new academic challenges, adjusting to a new physical environment and routine, amongst numerous other factors. This is easily overwhelming for anyone, particularly in the first month of the experience. If you don’t enjoy things right away, don’t beat yourself up about it!.
