College is the time to be selfish, to prioritize your success and needs in order to set yourself up for a better future. Find those internships as soon as you can, network with those professors sooner rather than later, volunteer locally, and read for fun. Before you know it, you will be a college senior applying to graduate programs or post-graduate jobs wishing you had gotten started sooner.
